The 5th TOKYO KNIT brand certification board took place in September 2022. The following is the profile of two companies newly certificated through the strict certification process by seven certification review board members.

Uchida Dyeing Works, the dyeing factory with more than 100-year history, was established in 1906. Having designers and planners of apparel brands as clients, they add additional value to the clothing by dyeing/washing works. All types of textiles, from natural fiber such as cotton, linen, silk, and wool to synthetic fiber such as nylon and polyester, are possible to dye. Great accessibility to their factory located at the central Tokyo area makes it possible to smoothly work together with clients.
Their result-oriented techniques of dyeing/washing works and sincereness to clients’ request realize the image of designer.

Marumasu dyeing located at Shibamata, north-east area in Tokyo, is the dyeing factory established in 1901. With the vision “Expand the value to enrich the society”, they have been manufacturing products to generate the comfort and abundance through their credibility and spirit handed down with more than 120-year-history. They are seeking to provide sustainable spirits to customers by being considerate to customers’ feelings and delivering the information of products background how they were manufactured. While many manufacturing bases have been moved to foreign countries to reduce cost, Marumasu dyeing is manufacturing products by maximizing leading dyeing technology with “Made in Japan” quality.

The number of certificated companies has become 35 with the 5^th TOKYO KNIT certification process.
