TOKYO KNIT 2023 Crossover Exhibition during 2 days from 22nd to 23rd February at Hikarie Shibuya closed successfully with more than 400 visitors including apparel related guests, journalists, and general visitors.

On 8th Hikarie Shibuya, “Quality collection”, “Recycloop Project×TENDER PERSON”, and “Designer Collaboration YUKI HASHIMOTO” at the COURT area and “Presentation by Certificated Companies” at the CUBE area were exhibited.
It was great opportunity for visitors to fully feel and see the attractiveness of TOKYO KNIT and their honed techniques through various items manufactured by TOKYO KNIT certificated companies.

■Quality Collection

Panels on which manufacturing method for each item was mentioned were installed for Quality Collection, the presentation of products manufactured by certificated companies under the theme, “Sustainability”. There were visitors who keenly read the panel, touching the product.

■Recycloop Project ×TENDER PERSON

The items which had a good reception at the showroom in Paris were presented as collaboration between TENDER PERSON and Recycloop Project: utilize cutting scraps generated by certificated companies, shred them into raw fiber, and make them into the textile.
A lot of visitors enjoyed new type of presentation such as AR presentation: it makes possible to see through smartphone or AR goggle as if a model wearing collaboration items walks around the mound of cutting scraps at the venue, and the presentation by touch panel monitor: a model shot by 360°degree can be zoomed easily.
Two designers of TENDER PERSON talked about a motivator for collaboration and collaboration work with TOKYO KNIT in the interview movie of official YouTube.

■Designer Collaboration YUKI HASHIMOTO

7 certificated companies participated in the collaboration work with YUKI HASHIMOTO, the emerging fashion brand, the recipient of TOKYO FASHION AWARD 2020. Ushering in its official presentation of 2023 AW collection, 7 looks including its first women’s collection were presented. Yuki Hashimoto, the designer of YUKI HASHIMOTO, is interviewed about how each item was created in the official YouTube.

■Presentation by certificated companies

13 certificated companies most of which have their own factory brands presented their products. The presentation of items for which each certificated company exercised their own techniques with fabrics, sewing, cutting, and dyeing brought opportunities for OEM/ODM business.

■Talk show by TENDER PERSON and YUKI HASHIMOTO

Having three guests, designers of TENDER PERSON, Bianca and Yuto Yashige, and designer of YUKI HASHIMOTO, Yuki Hashimoto, talk show took place at the venue on the last day of exhibition. MC was Shinya Miyaura, the representative of Itohen.
