For FY2022, under the theme “Factories have started talking…Manufacturing asking a question to the future”, TOKYO KNIT develops efforts further, implementing for the past several years. It has been taking on various challenges such as seeking for further technical capabilities of certificated companies, working on productization, and implementing OMO programs ,utilizing DX technology.
As an opportunity to show compilation of FY2022 activities, TOKYO KNIT Crossover Exhibition will be held on 22nd and 23rd February 2023 at HIKARIE Shibuya. (admission is free)

■Contents of exhibition

【Recycloop Project×TENDER PERSON】
Recycloop Project to utilize cutting scraps generated by certificated companies, shred them into raw fiber, and make them into the textile, met with various reaction at TOKYO KNIT 2022 exhibition. Having an encounter at exhibition of last year, TOKYO KNIT develops the collection, collaborating with TENDER PERSON, the recipient of TOKYO FASHION AWRD 2023. Around 15 items manufactured by 11 certificated companies will be presented.
AR presentation will make it possible to see as if a model wearing collaboration items walks around the mound of cutting scraps at the venue. You can experience it with your smartphone or AR goggle, please try it out!

【Collaboration with YUKI HASHIMOTO】
Since 2020, TOKYO KNIT has collaborated with world-renowned designers. ANREALAGE, Children of the discordance, MaXhosa Africa, and BED j.w. FORD.
For this year, TOKYO KNIT collaborates with YUKI HASHIMOTO, established in 2018 by Yuki Hashimoto who experienced international brands in Europe after graduation of Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, before establishing his own brand.
Collaboration items manufactured by 7 certificated companies will premiere.

【Quality Collection】
Under the theme of sustainability, 27 certificated companies developed 24 hoodies and long T shirts, utilizing recycled materials, organic cotton, used clothing, etc. The colors of products are unified from off-white to gray-tone, the color-tone reducing environmental impact through dyeing process. TOKYO KNIT developed the woven label made of recycled yearn produced by Recycloop Project. As background and points of each product will be seen at venue, please feel and experience passion and technique of each certificated company.

【Presentation by certificated companies】
12 certificated companies most of which have their own factory brands will present their products. The presentation of the strength of each company might bring opportunities for OEM/ODM business. Please watch closely their techniques supporting Japanese fashion.

【Talk show by TENDER PERSON and YUKI HASHIMOTO】
Having three guests, designers of TENDER PERSON, Bianca and Yuto Yashige, and designer of YUKI HASHIMOTO, Yuki Hashimoto, talk show with theme, “Manufacturing asking a question to the future”, will be held from 16:30 on 23rd February at venue, with MC, Shinya Miyaura, the representative of Itohen.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could understand that up to 50 persons will be able to enter on a first-come-first-served basis (admission is free) to prevent the spread of COVID19. Tickets for talk show will be distributed from 15:00 on the day.

For this exhibition, mannequins, hungers, and presentation boards with consideration for sustainability will be used. TOKYO KNIT addresses seriously its theme, “Manufacturing asking a question to the future” throughout the exhibition. Please pay attention to it.

◆Regarding talk show
•Distribution of tickets
Tickets will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis at the counter of talk show adjacent to the front counter of COURT on the 8th floor of Hikarie from 15:00 on 23rd February (Thu). There is neither number nor sheet number on the ticket.
•Regarding admission
Staff will start setting layout for talk show from 16:00. Once it would be prepared, the announcement will be made. Then, persons who have the tickets will be able to enter.

◆TOKYO KNIT Instagram live streaming
This talk show is supposed to be livestreamed on TOKYO KNIT official Instagram (@tokyoknit). If you would not be able to visit the venue, live viewing will be available through Instagram.
