Recycloop Project started by 3 certificated companies in 2021 to utilize cutting scraps generated by certificated companies, shred them into raw fiber, and make them into the textile, met with various reaction at TOKYO KNIT 2022 exhibition.

 The number of participations has been expanded to 11 certificated companies for this year. In addition, the collaboration with emerging brand, TENDER PERSON, who came to know Recycloop Project at TOKYO KNIT Exhibition 2022, has been determined.
TOKYO KNIT certificated companies will develop the collection, collaborating with TENDER PERSON, the recipient of TOKYO FASHION AWARD 2023, attracting attention right now.
“We wondered if we could make something by utilizing cutting scraps generated through manufacturing process…” said TENDER PERSON.
T shirt in the 2022 SS collection, the first collaboration with TOKYO KNIT, and its manufacturing process were well received.

As the second collaboration, around 15 items will be presented for this time.
TENDER PERSON will exhibit its collection at SHOWROOM TOKYO including TOKYO KNIT collaboration items for Paris Fashion Week from 17th to 22nd January.
At TOKYO KNIT Crossover Exhibition 2023 (22nd -23rd February at Hikarie Shibuya), AR presentation will be shown. You can experience it with your smartphone or AR goggle, please try it out!

【JFW Designer Collaboration TOKYO KNIT×YUKI HASHIMOTO】

Since 2020, TOKYO KNIT has collaborated with world-renowned designers. ANREALAGE, Children of the discordance, MaXhosa Africa, and BED j.w. FORD. For FY2022, collaboration with YUKI HASHIMOTO has bee determined. 7 certificated companies selected materials and manufactured products, based on design by Yuki Hashimoto. 20 items developed through continued discussion between the designer and certificated companies will premiere at TOKYO KNIT Crossover Exhibition 2023. Please see closely various items created by chemistry between designer’s inspiration and techniques of certificated companies.

This collaboration was realized, based on the support by Japan Fashion Week Organization.

◆TENDER PERSON
Duo designers’ brand, started in 2014 by Bianca and Yuto Yashige, when they were students at Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo. They have been announcing in earnest the collection since 2016-17 AW.
They opened their first store in February 2020.
They resonated with the presentation by TOKYO KNIT at TOKYO KNIT Exhibition 2022, “Factories have started talking… TOKYO KNIT STORY”, and participated in the project.
Received TOKYO FASHION AWARD 2023.

◆YUKI HASHIMOTO
YUKI HASHIMOTO started for 2019 SS.
Yuki Hashimoto, the designer of YUKI HASHIMOTO, entered Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts after graduation of Kyoto University of Arts.
After receiving bachelor’s degree at Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, he worked for KRIS VAN ASSCHE, RAF SIMONS, and MAISON MARGIELA in Paris and Antwerp as a design assistant to gain experience. After that, he entered a master’s program to learn the basics to create the brand and received collaboration offer from KITAYAMA STUDIO, the Chinese bag brand, during mater’s course.
He established his own brand, YUKI HASHIMOTO, in July 2018 and announced 2019 SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION “BAD DAY CAMP”.
Received TOKYO FASHION AWARD 2020.
