TOKYO KNIT activities of FY2022 has been announced. As compilation of FY2022 activities, “Crossover Exhibition” will be held.

Under the theme “Factories have started talking…Manufacturing asking a question to the future”, TOKYO KNIT develops further activities for sustainability that it has been implementing for the past several years, in FY2022. TOKYO KNIT will be seeking for additional technical capabilities of certificated companies and working on productization.
Also, it implements the programs of OMO, Online merges with Offline, utilizing DX, and holds Crossover Exhibition as compilation of activities in February 2023.


Major programs of FY2022:


(1) Quality Collection
Under the theme of sustainability, 27 certificated companies develop hoodies and long T shirts, utilizing recycled materials, organic cotton, used clothing, etc. The colors of products will be unified from off-white to gray-tone.
Quality and techniques of each product will be highlighted by showing the same type of products manufactured by each certificated company.


(2) Recycloop Project
Recycloop Project was started by 3 certificated companies in 2021 to utilize cutting scraps generated by certificated companies, shred them into raw fiber, and make them into the textile. For this year, 11 certificated companies participate in this project. TOKYO KNIT develops the collection, collaborating with TENDER PERSON, the recipient of TOKYO FASHION AWRD 2023.

(3) Designer Collaboration
Since 2020, TOKYO KNIT has collaborated with world-renowned designers. ANREALAGE, Children of the discordance, MaXhosa Africa, and BED j.w. FORD.
YUKI HASHIMOTO has been selected for designer collaboration for this year. Yuki Hashimoto experienced international brands in Europe after graduation of Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts and established his own brand, YUKI HASHIMOTO, in 2018.

〈Crossover Exhibition〉
As an opportunity to show compilation of FY2022 activities, TOKYO KNIT Crossover Exhibition will be held in February 2023. “Quality Collection”, “Recycloop Project”, “Designer Collaboration”, and presentation by certificated companies will be shown. You can enjoy the collection display shown by AR technology and talk-show by designers at venue. It would be the challenging exhibition to present new TOKYO KNIT across boundaries between BtoB and BtoC.

Place: On the 8th floor of Hikarie Shibuya, COURT & CUBE (2-21-1 8F Shibuya, Shibuya-ku Tokyo).
